Nooski, the safer, cleaner solution

Trapping

Trapping Tips

  1. Identify whether you have rat or mouse problem. Ensure you set the appropriate trap. If you find the rat trap has fired but caught nothing…you probably have mice! Get a Nooski mouse trap fast!
  2. Ensure the trap is positioned against a wall or object that the rats are travelling along. Rats don’t like traps in open spaces.
  3. Remove food source such as rubbish bags, grass seed, pet food etc.
  4. Do not move the traps once set. Rodents are neophobic and will recognise if you move the position of the trap and become trap shy.
  5. Use fresh bait. Change bait weekly and change type of bait if not having success.
  6. Wash the trap in warm water and set with gloves. Human scent will deter rats.
  7. Tests have shown that several traps set in an area will produce better results than a single trap.
  8. Be patient, it can take up to four weeks to trap a resident male rat, but Nooski will get it every time!

Troubleshooting

Question

I am having difficulty putting the ring on?

Answer

Ensure the trap and your hands are dry. If you are still having trouble, roll the ring half way up the trap and leave for a couple of minutes, then roll the ring to the set position. Take your time. We recommend you refer to the NOOSKI loading video.

Question

How can I stop mice stealing the bait from the rat trap?

Answer

Eradicate the mice by setting a Nooski mouse trap.

Question

How often do I replace the ring?

Answer

Once set, the ring will be effective for several months, however, it is recommended to replace the ring every two weeks for optimum effectiveness.

Question

How often should I change the bait?

Answer

Rats like fresh food, depending on the type of bait we recommend weekly. Dark chocolate lasts up to 60 days!

Question

I can’t find a safe place to set the trap away from my pets?

Answer

Refer to the placement instructions. Secure the trap with screws or pegs 6"/150mm from a wall in a corner.

Question

Will the ring release in freezing conditions?

Answer

We do not recommend setting the trap outdoors in freezing conditions. If using in cold conditions (below 5°C) indoors, it is recommended to change the ring every couple of days for optimum effect.
